Individual Membership Process (email us for organizational [email protected])
1. The First Step is to attend an informational meeting. During the pandemic, these will be held online (link above) at 7 pm on the first Wednesday of every month.
2. The Second Step is to complete the Power of Difference Assessment (online) and receive an hour-long consultation.
3. Third, if it feels like a good fit for both parties a person may then become a provisional member and attend planning meetings. Provisional members may participate in conversations but not in the consensus decisions.
4. Lastly, after attending 5 planning meetings a person may request membership. This will be determined by a consensus of existing members.
LET'S CREATE and ENJOY TOGETHER:
A deeply democratic,
queer friendly, multifaith, COMMUNITY,
COMMUNITY MODEL, and STUDY CENTER
(with affordable housing options) that honors and celebrates the mosaic of our differences, our common humanity, and our planet.
At the HEART of Araminta Village will be a Study Center. It will provide options and opportunities for residents' livelhoods as well as for passionate creators, learners, and innovative thinkers and feelers to come from around the world to study some of the most important questions we know:
How are we to live together?
What can I do about issues of race and racism?
How do we address the huge divisions in our nation?
How can we honor and celebrate our commonality and our differences?
